Adult male in stable condition after suffering a stab wound
VANCOUVER — Members of the Vancouver Police Department are investigating a stabbing that took place early Monday in downtown Vancouver.
At about 4:37 a.m. Monday, Vancouver Police responded to an assault at 13th and Main Street. When officers arrived, they located an adult male with a stab wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital for his injuries and he is currently in stable condition.
The suspects were described as two Hispanic males. A search of the area, including a K9 track, was unsuccessful in locating the suspects.
Traffic in the area of 13th and Main Street was shut down for several hours while police were on scene. Main Street has since been reopened.
Detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Major Crimes Unit are investigating. It is unknown at this time if the suspects and victim were known to one another or what precipitated the assault.
Nothing further is releasable at this time.
