A 21-year-old male had been shot and was transported in a private vehicle as officers were arriving
VANCOUVER – On Sunday (June 11) at about 9:20 p.m., Vancouver Police responded to a disturbance in the 11300 block of NE 51st Circle. A large group was fighting in a parking lot and witnesses reported that multiple shots were fired.
A 21-year-old male had been shot and was transported in a private vehicle as officers were arriving. He suffered what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.
A 16-year-old-male at the scene was found to be in possession of a firearm, however it was not believed to be the firearm used in the shooting. He was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County juvenile detention center for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm II.
A 17-year-old male was determined to be responsible for the shooting. He was located at an apartment in the 4900 block of NE Plomondon., and with the assistance of SWAT, was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Clark County juvenile detention center for Assault I.
The investigation is continuing and nothing further is releasable at this time
