
The American Red Cross was contacted to assist with the displacement of six people
At 10:40 p.m. Friday (April 5), the Vancouver Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a house fire with power lines arcing outside the house at 3508 X St.
Vancouver Fire responded with 25 suppression personnel and arrived within five minutes. Clark Public Utilities was requested to nullify the power lines.
Initial crews arrived to find a duplex on fire with reports of people still inside. The fire department quickly assigned crews to search the structure for people and extinguish the fire.

The fire was determined to be under control shortly after. No one was found inside the structure and no one was injured. The American Red Cross was contacted to assist with the displacement of six people.
Clark County Fire District 6 sent one fire engine to the scene. American Medical Response responded with one ambulance for medical standby.
