Over the summer and into the fall, the Vancouver City Council is hitting the road. Three City Council Meetings will be held in different community locations to provide more opportunities for the public to attend and share issues or concerns with City Council. The meetings are on July 25, August 15 and September 26.
On July 25, Vancouver City Council will hold its regular Workshop, Council Meeting, and Community Communication Forum in the Columbia Room at the Vancouver Community Library, 901 C Street. Scheduled Council business will be conducted in accordance with regular Council Meeting rules. During the Community Communication Forum, individuals wishing to speak will be asked to sign up when they arrive and provide their name, city of residence, and topic for the record. Speakers will have three minutes to speak. As part of a pilot program to improve the experience of Community Communication Forums, the Council may ask questions and discuss the topic further with the speaker. The agendas for the Council meetings are being kept deliberately light to allow the forum to begin as early as possible. Light refreshments will be available.
