VANCOUVER — A Vancouver resident was arrested on the same felony charge twice in the month of November at his home located near Image Elementary School in Vancouver.
On Nov. 2, members of the Safe Streets Task Force and Vancouver Police Neighborhood Response Team served a search warrant at the residence of Brian Burke, 44, located at 11921 NE 37th Street in Vancouver for methamphetamine distribution. During the service of this warrant, Burke was found in possession of seven firearms (one of which was reported stolen).
Burke is prohibited from possessing a firearm. In addition, approximately 1.5 pounds of methamphetamine and over 1 oz. of heroin, along with scales and packaging for distribution was located and $8,865 was also seized. Burke was booked into the Clark County Jail on twelve felony counts. Burke subsequently bailed out on the listed charges.
On Nov. 17, members of the Safe Streets Task Force, Vancouver Police Neighborhood Response Team, and Clark County Tactical Detective Unit served another search warrant at Burke’s residence located at 11921 NE 37th Street in Vancouver, with the assistance of the Southwest Washington Regional SWAT team, for methamphetamine distribution. During the service of this search warrant approximately two pounds of methamphetamine were located in Burke’s room. Burke was again booked into the Clark County Jail for Possession with Intent Methamphetamine and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Burke’s residence is only blocks from Image Elementary and just down the street from a school bus stop.
