On Monday (Feb. 7), Clark County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to the report of a suspicious person call at 14313 NE 20th Avenue. The 9-1-1 caller, an employee of Doughboy’s Pizza, reported seeing the suspect in a Friday (Feb. 4) armed robbery entering another business in the same complex. The initial robbery had been reported to CCSO on Friday when an armed suspect entered Doughboy’s Pizza, armed with a handgun, robbed the establishment, and fled on foot.
Within minutes of the second reported sighting of the suspect, a second 9-1-1 caller called from Dream Nails, 14313 NE 20th Avenue and reported the male had just attempted to rob the nail salon at gunpoint. The male reportedly again fled on foot. Responding deputies set up containment and attempted a K9 track of the suspect. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect.
On the evening of Feb. 7, a resident who had seen images and video of the suspect on social media, called 9-1-1 to advise they had video of the suspect and his vehicle from the minutes following the Dream Nails robbery. Detectives obtained the video and provided it to patrol deputies.
Later in the evening, CCSO Patrol deputies located the suspect vehicle parked at the WinCo, 9700 NE Highway 99. Deputies located the suspect, who was still wearing the same clothes from the second robbery. After a short foot pursuit, the suspect was detained.
