One person found deceased after reports of shots heard
A suspect is in custody and one person is deceased after a disturbance Tuesday afternoon in east Clark County.
On MOnday (June 15) at 2:45 p.m., Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Alpine area of east Clark County on reports of a disturbance with shots heard.
Deputies arrived in the area of NE 227th St and Alder Falls Road and located one person deceased. A search of the heavily wooded area was conducted for the suspect. The suspect was later apprehended nearby peacefully.
This is an ongoing investigation and more details will be released at a later time. During the initial search for the suspect, the public was kept out of the area for their safety. There is no outstanding danger to the public and all residents have returned home.
