VANCOUVER – Travelers who use State Route 501 through downtown Vancouver should plan ahead for daytime and nighttime lane closures beginning this week. Travelers should slow down and keep an eye out for flaggers navigating intersections.
On Mon., Aug. 16, Washington State Department of Transportation contractors will close lanes of SR 501 for work on two separate projects to repair pavement. This final phase of SR 501 – Interstate 5 to Port of Vancouver – Intersection and Profile Improvements work will deliver corridor modifications to help keep traffic and freight moving through this vital stretch of roadway.
SR 501 1-5 to West 26th closure details
- Beginning at 7 p.m., Mon., Aug. 16 through 5 a.m., Tue., Aug. 17, the right lane of SR 501 will be closed from Franklin Street to Columbia Street.
SR 501 I-5 to Port of Vancouver closure details
- Beginning at 8 a.m., Thu., Aug. 19 through 5 p.m., Sat., Aug. 21, one lane in the east and west directions of SR 500 will remain open during pavement repair at Fourth Plain Boulevard and Mill Plain Boulevard.
- Travelers should be prepared to follow flaggers. Flaggers will assist SR 500 eastbound drivers make a left turn on Fourth Plain Boulevard.
