VANCOUVER — The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to an armed robbery at the El Pueblito Mexican Store in Hazel Dell around 8:30 p.m., Mon., Dec. 5. No one was injured during the robbery.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that a suspect entered the store, at 7817 N.E. Highway 99 and pointed a rifle at the store clerk. Meanwhile, a second suspect “came across the sales counter and grabbed cash from the cash register,” the Sheriff’s Office says in a press release.
Both suspects wore light colored “hoodie” style sweatshirts and dark jeans. The suspect holding the rifle is described as a black male in his mid-20s, around 5-foot-8-inches tall and very skinny. The second suspect, who deputies say took the cash from the register, is described as a white male, also in his mid-20s and around 5-foot-8-inches tall with a slender build.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that, after taking the money, both suspects fled the scene and may have been driving a gray sedan, possibly a Honda Accord seen speeding away from the scene.
