The closure is scheduled to last no more than 20 working days through Oct. 6
VANCOUVER – Venersborg Bridge (#217) will be closed beginning Mon., Sept. 11, closing Northeast Risto Road to through traffic. The closure is scheduled to last no more than 20 working days (through Oct. 6). Exact closure start and end dates are weather dependent and subject to change. The closure will allow for work to strengthen the bridge and ultimately remove the existing weight restriction.
Traffic will be directed onto a detour route via signs and flaggers. For the safety of drivers, their passengers, and workers, drivers should always follow the directions of signs and flaggers. A map of the detour route can be found on the project webpage.
The repair of the Venersborg Bridge is part of a larger project to strengthen nine bridges throughout Clark County to remove existing weight restrictions. Project details, including detour maps and closure updates, can be found at clark.wa.gov/public-works/bridge-strengthening-projects.
