LA CENTER – Drivers who use Interstate 5 near La Center should plan for overnight delays this week.
Contractor crews working for the Cowlitz Tribe will detour I-5 traffic via the La Center off- and on-ramps (Exit 16) for bridge demolition work.
Southbound closure information
- Mon., April 17 to the morning of Wed., April 19: Southbound I-5 will detour nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
- The first lane will close at 7 p.m.
- The second lane will close at 9 p.m.
- The first lane on I-5 will reopen at 4 a.m., the second at 6 a.m., and all lanes will be open by 7 a.m.
- During the detour, the northbound I-5 off-ramp to La Center will also close nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Northbound closure information
- Wed., April 19 to the morning of Fri., April 21: Northbound I-5 will detour nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
- The first lane will close at 7 p.m.
- The second lane will close at 9 p.m.
- The first lane on I-5 will reopen at 4 a.m., the second at 5 a.m., and all lanes will be open by 7 a.m.
- During the detour, the southbound I-5 off-ramp to La Center will also close nightly from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
Northwest 319th Street/Northwest La Center Road across I-5 will close each night from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
