Witnesses say the car was traveling at least 70 mph and was driving erratically
Shortly after 1 p.m. this afternoon a small SUV carrying ten teenagers spun off the road and rolled multiple times, coming to rest on the shore of Salmon Creek.
The wreck happened on 117th Street in Salmon Creek, and the car finally came to rest under the I-5 bridge. Witnesses say the car was traveling at least 70 mph and was driving erratically. Authorities say all of the occupants go to Prairie High School, which is not near the accident scene.
There were no fatalities but seven out of the 10 passengers were transported to area hospitals. Three refused.
Three fire engines and multiple firefighters from Clark County Fire District 6 responded to the wreck, as well as multiple ambulances from AMR.
Authorities say it is a miracle that no one was killed in this crash, and they caution young drivers to drive responsibly. The Clark County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident and charges in this accident are possible.
