A large power outage impacted about 17,000 Clark Public Utilities customers in Vancouver Thursday afternoon.
The source of the outage was near NE 9th St. and NE 122nd Ave. according to Clark Public Utilities spokesperson Erica Erland. The outage occurred at about 1 p.m. Thursday.
“Our servicemen responded swiftly and had the majority of customers restored in less than an hour,’’ Erland said. “The remaining 647 customers remained out until just before 4 p.m. as a piece of faulty equipment was replaced.’’
