Military vehicles and a military band to be featured July 6
The next La Center Farmers Market will be a couple days after the Fourth of July holiday but it will stick with a patriotic theme.
A rock band made up of active duty military members will perform, and there will be a display of antique and modern-day military vehicles at the next La Center Farmers Market on Thursday, July 6.
The market is located in the north parking lot of La Center Church, 111 E. 5th Street in downtown La Center. The market is held every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. through Aug. 24.
It is composed of local farms selling their produce. Specialty vendors will be on hand, as well, selling their crafts and jewelry. A variety of musicians will perform throughout the summer, with the July 6 market featuring the military band.
This is the third year of the La Center Farmers Market, which was restarted by La Center Church to provide a place for the community to gather and build relationships.
