Joy’s campaign will focus on common-sense solutions that benefit all constituents in District 17
Hannah Joy, a resident of Carson, has officially announced her candidacy for the House of Representatives in District 17. With an extensive background in grassroots advocacy, Joy is committed to bringing her experience to the forefront of this race.
As the former state director of operations for the successful Let’s Go Washington initiatives, Hannah has proven her dedication to common-sense solutions. Three of these initiatives have successfully become law, including reinstating police pursuit to combat crime, implementing parental notifications, and protecting citizens from state income tax.
Joy’s achievements include serving as chair of the Developmental Disability Advisory Board spanning Klickitat and Skamania County, owning a newspaper in the county, and being honored with the Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year award for protecting a child during an active standoff.
A mother of six and the wife of a veteran, Joy deeply understands the challenges facing Washington families today. She currently serves as an executive board representative for Congressional District 3 at the state level, where she has been a champion for the grassroots movement and ethnic communities. Her six years of experience in politics have well-prepared her to tackle the challenges of a legislative role with the same dedication.
“I am honored for the opportunity to run as a representative in one of the most beautiful districts in the state, the Columbia River Gorge. Drawing on my political experience, I am committed to preserving the values of Washington families and ensuring their voices are heard in Olympia,” says Hannah Joy.
Joy’s campaign will focus on common-sense solutions that benefit all constituents in District 17. She will address the issue of wasteful spending, the root causes of the affordable housing crisis, sensible forest management practices, and champion the protection of small businesses. Her hands-on approach and dedication to public service make her a formidable candidate, ready to address the needs of her community and advocate for effective change in Washington State.
