County to hold virtual open house for Northeast 68th Street Project, April 20

VANCOUVER – Neighbors and community members are invited to learn about upcoming construction on Northeast 68th Street, between Northeast Highway 99 and Northeast St. Johns Road, which serves a densely populated residential area. Much of the road segment has no sidewalks. This project will construct sidewalks between segments of existing sidewalks, and construct four crosswalks.

Public Works staff will host a virtual open house from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Wed., April 20, via WebEx where residents can learn about the project’s design, environmental impacts and construction timeline from county and City of Vancouver staff. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer comments. To ask questions or make comments during the meeting, registration is required via WebEx.com, and clicking “Join a Meeting,” entering the meeting number 2496 154 9974 and password “0420,” and clicking “Register.”  Registrants will receive a confirmation email with a link to join the meeting. Those who do not register in advance can click on the meeting link at https://clark.wa.gov/public-works/northeast-68th-street and enter their name and email address to join the meeting. Residents can also listen in by dialing 1.408.418.9388 and entering meeting number 2496 154 9974 and password “0420,” when prompted. Callers using this method cannot use the chat function.

Community members are encouraged to email questions to the project manager before the presentation. A recording of the meeting will be available on the project website within five business days.
