VANCOUVER – Clark County is seeking applicants for a position on the Public Facilities District board of directors. The two-year term begins immediately.
The Public Facilities District was created in 2002 to participate in development of regional centers, such as the convention center in Vancouver and exhibition hall at the Clark County Fairgrounds.
Board members receive $50 per day while attending meetings.
The board typically meets on the first Monday of February, May, August and November. Meetings are held on the Teams platform.
Applicants should submit a letter of interest and résumé to Michelle Pfenning, County Manager’s Office, PO Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000 or michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov. Application deadline is 5 p.m. Fri., June 30, 2023.
Letters should demonstrate knowledge about Clark County and summarize experience in:
- Hotels and convention centers
- Facility operations and finance
- Economic development
- Tourism
- Marketing
- Events and promotion
