At the close of the regular candidate filing period on Fri., May 21, Clark County Election officials had not received any candidate filings for Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue commissioner, position 5.
Pursuant to Washington state law, an additional special three-day filing period must be held for these offices.
The special filing period began at 8 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 4), and ends at 5 p.m. Friday (Aug. 6).
Anyone meeting the qualifications of the office and wishing to file can do so at the Clark County Elections Office, 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver.
Candidates may also file online at clarkvotes.org. Online filing hours begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 4), and end at 4 p.m. Friday (Aug. 6).
