The commission set its next meeting for 5 p.m. Thu., Feb. 18. The meeting will be on WebEx, and anyone interested can listen to the meeting by calling +1 (408) 418-9388 and entering the access code 146 070 0254. CVTV will stream the meeting live on Channel 23/323 and online at www.cvtv.org.

The commission will meet weekly at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays beginning Feb. 24.

The Charter Review Commission is tasked with reviewing the county’s home rule charter approved by voters in November 2014. The charter acts like a constitution of sorts for the county, and this will be the first review.

The 15 commission members were elected in the Nov. 3 general election. Per the charter, three members were elected countywide and each of the four county council districts has three commissioners. Any changes to the charter that the review commission recommends would go to a countywide vote in a general election.

Information on the Charter Review Commission including a recording of the Jan. 27 meeting can be found on the county’s website at https://clark.wa.gov/county-manager/charter-review-commission-overview.
