Incident happened between a couple staying at Quality Inn Motel
On Tuesday (March 1) at about 9:29 a.m., Clark County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call of an assault with a weapon at the Quality Inn Motel located at 7001 NE HWY 99.
The victim, 53-year-old James Turley reported to arriving deputies he had been stabbed with a sword by his girlfriend. Tednisha Louise Lee-Dickson was still on scene and detained by responding deputies. Turley was treated on scene by medics and transported to the hospital for wounds sustained in the stabbing.
Clark County Sheriff’s Office Majors Crimes Unit responded to investigate. It was determined Lee-Dickson is the girlfriend of Turley. The two live together at the motel and were engaged in an argument and Lee-Dickson subsequently stabbed Turley in his side with a four-foot broad sword which belonged to the victim. The victim is expected to survive.
Major Crimes detectives conducted a warrant service at the motel room and processed the crime scene therein.
The 29-year-old Lee-Dickson was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail for RCW 9A.32.030 Attempted Murder 1st Degree – Domestic Violence.
