Suspect of Thursday evening incident transported to area hospital in critical condition
A suspect is in critical condition at an area hospital after an officer-involved shooting that took place Thursday evening in Hazel Dell.
At about 7:41 p.m. Thursday (Feb. 4), Clark County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputies were involved in an officer-involved shooting at the intersection of NE 68th street and NE 2nd avenue.
The Regional Independent Investigation Team will be conducting the investigation.
As per CCSO policy, the involved deputies were placed on critical incident leave per standard protocol.
Northeast 68th street was closed from Hazel Dell avenue east to NW 2nd Avenue and NE 2nd avenue was closed south from NE 68th street to NE 71st street due to the crime scene investigation.
