Clark County opens lottery to assign permits to sell fireworks


Application deadline for the county’s lottery to assign permits to sell fireworks is April 2; three retail permits to be assigned

VANCOUVER – The Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office is taking applications for three retail fireworks permits to be assigned by lottery to be held on Mon., April 5.

Fireworks cannot be sold in Clark County without a permit.

Applications for the permit lottery can be obtained at the Fire Marshal’s Office, 505 N.W. 179th St., Ridgefield, or on the county website at https://clark.wa.gov/code-administration/fire-forms-and-fees. Only one completed application may be entered per person or organization.

All lottery permit applications must be received at the Fire Marshal’s Office no later than 5 p.m. Fri., April 2, 2021, regardless of how they are submitted.

Applications may be delivered or mailed to the Fire Marshal’s Office, 505 N.W. 179th St., Ridgefield, or faxed to (564) 397-2076. Applications postmarked on April 2 but received after that date will not qualify.

Applicants chosen by lottery will be contacted immediately.
