Heidi St. John, who is one of three candidates challenging Jaime Herrera Beutler in the Third Congressional District, issues statement revealing meeting with Trump
The challengers to Jaime Herrera Beutler for the Third Congressional District seat in the U.S. House of Representatives continue to align themselves with former President Donald Trump in their effort to defeat the six-term Republican congresswoman.
Heidi St. John, Joe Kent and Wadi Yakhour, all Republicans, each cited Herrera Beutler’s vote to impeach then-President Trump in January when they initially announced their decision to enter the campaign.
St. John’s campaign released news Thursday about a private meeting she had with Trump this week.
“It was the honor of a lifetime to have a private meeting with President Trump yesterday,’’ St. John said in the statement. “He is as warm in person as you could imagine — sharp, engaging and charismatic. What a privilege it was to speak with him. His passion for this country and our district has not waned.
“He took almost an hour and heard my concerns about what is happening in SW Washington,’’ St. John stated. “He remains committed to the fight for freedom in the United States and in our district in particular. He is not done fighting for this country and I am prepared to continue this fight. I am excited and looking forward to our next visit.’’
St. John reiterated that she is aligned with Trump’s agenda.
“President Trump’s agenda was the right agenda for America: protecting children in the womb; giving parents control in their child’s education; protecting our country’s border; establishing fair trade practice and business protection that benefits our district and protects our jobs,’’ St. John said.
“Like the President, I love this amazing country, especially Southwest Washington State, where I have lived and served my community for nearly 20 years,’’ St. John stated. “I know this district and I will be a powerful voice for the things you care about.”
Truth over loyalty to a fascist, racist, rapist and a cancer to democracy wil get my vote. It is concerning that a candidate feels the need to cuddle up to Trump to win votes in the Cowlitz County demo. Jamie stands for truth amongst a dieing republican party that promotes QANON conspiracy theories rather than to tell the truth to their constituents just to sow fear to get their vote

Trump loyalists who wanted to overturn the election and broke into the Capitol to find Pence to hang him on gallows will be rounded up and tried as the traitors they are. I am a real patriotic American, and grew up here knowing Nazis were who we killed, and KKK was tied to the racists of corporations who only wanted profits and didn’t care about anybody but themselves. Thank you Hetladytens. I find I’m nervous about the Trump followers. I keep hoping for some mighy mistake on his part that will finally show his truly dishonest nature. It’s fine to love and cherish this country, but that must be joined with a love of our constitution and the rule of law.

Heidi St John is a parasite. I respect Jaime Herrera Butler’s loyalty to the US Constitution and not a chronic treasonous liars false conspiracies and made up election fraud crying falsehoods. There is no truth to Trump.
But you’ve never voted for her and never will, being a leftist and all.
And there is even less truth to the Dementia Patient in Chief.
Trump is a total disgrace to the Republican Party. Wow– a twice impeached President, that’s quite a feat. Herrera-Beutler had the courage to vote to Impeach Trump as he deserved, knowing she would face some heat back home. She has my support.
I am sure she has had threats, to herself and her family, by the left prior to this, and now from the right. Most of the Congressional Republicans were afraid of the monetary loss and the actual threats of harm to their families and could not do the moral, ethical, American thing. She however proved herself to be a true patriotic American, in the job to defend We the People and our freedoms, and should make all women and Mexican American citizens proud…as well as should make all those who went to Prairie High proud because she made our county look mighty good to the entire WORLD!
Yeah, the world is watching, and if people who fear the fascists taking over the GOP fail to vote for Beutler and the other 9 brave Congress men and women to voted to fairly impeach Donald Trump for his actions, then we will be in for a very long and dangerous future with strange allies.
