​​The Culture, Arts and Heritage Commission is a nine-member volunteer group responsible for developing and promoting a thriving cultural, art and heritage environment that reflects the Vancouver community

VANCOUVER – The city of Vancouver is now seeking applicants to fill two mid-term openings on the Culture, Arts and Heritage Commission. Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 7.  

​​The Culture, Arts and Heritage Commission is a nine-member volunteer group responsible for developing and promoting a thriving cultural, art and heritage environment that reflects the Vancouver community. This is accomplished through community-informed programs, ownership of buildings and public art and a commitment to community partnerships.    

​Membership eligibility and requirements 

  • ​A background or demonstrated interest in art, history or cultural disciplines or professions, including architecture, dance, digital, history, cultural, literary, music, theater and/or visual arts
  • Ability to serve a term beginning begin Feb. 27 and expiring Dec. 31, 2025
