The Battle Ground City Council is seeking applications from citizens interested in serving in the recently vacated council position No. 5. The position’s current 4-year term of office expires on December 31st of this year.

On June 7, Dalesandro announced his move on Facebook:
“Life’s journey takes us to places we’ve only dreamed of; it brings us to people and experiences that challenge us and shape us; it brings us love, hope and friendship,’’ Dalesandro wrote. “At times it can leave us devastated and a moment later inspired; that’s the beauty of the journey. The hope of those tomorrows keeps us going.
“Friends, our journey brought my family to this community over 16 years ago and soon our journey will be taking us onward. We will be leaving Battle Ground and relocating to the Midwest closer to family.
“It’s been an amazing journey with you and this community. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!’’
To qualify for appointment to the position, an applicant must be a registered voter in Clark County, Washington and a resident of the city of Battle Ground for at least one year preceding appointment to the council.
