Reps. Vicki Kraft and Paul Harris and Sen. Lynda Wilson scheduled to participate
VANCOUVER — Reps. Vicki Kraft and Paul Harris, and Sen. Lynda Wilson, all R-Vancouver, are inviting citizens from throughout the 17th Legislative District to join them Saturday morning, June 1, in Vancouver for a town hall meeting.
“We recently finished an intense 105-day legislative session in Olympia. Now that we’re back home, we’d like to provide an update to people here in the community, listen to them and answer their questions,” said Kraft.
“We want to give the residents of our district the opportunity to discuss the 2019 legislative session and share any questions or concerns they have moving forward,” said Harris. “Town hall meetings allow us to better advocate for the citizens of Southwest Washington. I look forward to chatting with them.”
“The Legislature approved my bill to address the license-fraud issue that is all too familiar to people in Clark County, and I’ll explain how that new law will work,” said Wilson. “Unfortunately, the bigger news is that so many new taxes were approved even though they were completely unnecessary. This town hall gives us a chance to warn our constituents about what they’re in for.”
The 17th District town hall meeting will be held from 10–11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 1, at the Dengerink Administration Building, Lecture Hall, Room 110, Washington State University Vancouver, 14204 N.E. Salmon Creek Avenue, Vancouver.
