VANCOUVER — The Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) announces the top nominees in the 2019 Business & Leadership Awards within six categories of recognition.
Recipients will be announced at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner & Awards Recognition Ceremony “Set Sail for Success,” presented by Port of Vancouver USA on Wed., Sept. 25.
The top nominees in the 2019 Business & Leadership Awards categories are as follows (in no particular order).
Community Champion Award Finalists: Casey Wyckoff, LSW Architects; Marcy Sprecher, Rock Solid Teen Center; Corwin Beverage
2019 Community Statesman Award Finalists: Lynda Wilson, state senator; Anne McEnerny-Ogle, mayor Vancouver; Paul Harris, state representative.
2019 John S. McKibbin Leadership Legacy Award Finalists: Arch Miller, Air & Hospitality Academy, retired; Linda Glover, Divine Consign & Vancouver City Council; Mike Bomar, Port of Vancouver.
2019 Start-Up to Watch Award Finalists: The Diner Vancouver; WellHaven Pet Health; Wolf Industries, Inc.
2019 Small Business of the Year Award Finalists: Nom Nom Restaurant & Bar; Reid Business Services; Pacific Perks.
2019 Large Business of the Year Award Finalists: Ginn Group; MAJ Development; Invest West Management.
Doors for the Annual Dinner & Awards Recognition Ceremony will open at 4:30 p.m. to a cocktail hour at The Hilton. Guests will be treated to signature drinks as they participate in nautical games and snap photos before the program and awards ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m.. During the program, the GVCC’s Dessert Dash will take place, encouraging guests to outbid other tables in an effort to select their favorite dessert first. Funds raised during this portion of the event will contribute to the Small Business Saturday Grand Program awarded each December.
