Pre-event workshops teach how to use the virtual platform
CLARK COUNTY — With COVID-19 safeguards limiting in-person events, finding a job is more challenging than in the past. To help individuals searching for work connect with companies that are hiring, WorkSource is hosting a virtual hiring event Wed., Jan. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Nearly 40 companies will be hiring for workers in healthcare, construction, manufacturing and other industries. Individuals can register now for the event at https://bit.ly/2LjGlgp and upload a resume.
The event uses a platform called Brazen. A brief video about the technology is available on the registration page. In addition, WorkSource is holding workshops in the days before the event to provide guidance on how to use the system.

Job seekers should prepare for the event as they would for an in-person interview and dress appropriately and be prepared to speak with hiring representatives. Those new to virtual technology may want to practice with their computers to get comfortable on camera.
