Comments may be submitted in writing to Peggy Sheehan, PO Box 1995, Vancouver, WA, 98668-1995, via email to peggy.sheehan@cityofvancouver.us, or through the City’s website at www.cityofvancouver.us/ConsolidatedPlan. Comments received will be noted and incorporated into the final plan.

The city develops a consolidated plan for housing and community development every five years to guide the use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships Program funding received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These funds support programs and projects that benefit low- and moderate-income residents by increasing housing availability and economic opportunity, revitalizing neighborhoods, and addressing public service and infrastructure needs.

The consolidated plan includes an assessment of community needs and describes priority uses for CDBG and HOME funds over the next five years. Priorities for 2019-2023 are affordable housing, economic development, public services, and public facility or infrastructure activities. An estimated $1.5 million in CDBG and HOME funds will be made available each year for community projects that align with these priorities.

For more information about the City’s CDBG and HOME programs, visit www.cityofvancouver.us/CDBG.
