The group play pipes and drums to honor the Firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty
BATTLE GROUND — Mill Creek Pub and Chelatchie Crossing are two stops amongst the popular tour by the Vancouver Firefighters Pipe & Drum (VFFPD) St. Patrick’s weekend performances. The group play pipes and drums to honor the firefighters who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. The St. Paddy’s Day pub crawl is the group’s fundraiser each year which allows them to send band members to the annual IAFF Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Colorado Springs, where all of the line of duty deaths from the previous year are remembered and honored.
The public is invited to listen to the band perform and make donations to the group at various local businesses. Questions about VFFPD contact Jeremy Stuart at stew102@gmail.com.
