Rocksolid Community Teen Center plans 17th annual auction

Community invited to attend the Lucky Shamrock Auction Sat., March 10

BRUSH PRAIRIE — Rocksolid Community Teen Center will hold its 17th annual auction Sat., March 10 at the Battle Ground Community Center. Doors open at 5 p.m.

The Lucky Shamrock Auction will include a live and silent auction, games, photo booth, and more. The auction is the largest fundraiser of the year to maintain the after-school program.

Presenting Sponsors this year are Riverview Community Bank, S&T Truck Repair, and Dan’s Tractor. Tickets are $60 each and available at the website: www.rocksolid-teen.com  by clicking the “news” link, then “auction info.” Tables seat eight. Guests are encouraged to note seating arrangements if they have a group of eight who would like to sit together.

The support has been incredible. We appreciate the community recognizes the value of the youth and our program. We are serving double the number of teens in years past, so we are in great hopes to have a record auction this year.” stated Marcy Sprecher, executive director at Rocksolid.

“We are very fortunate to have such great supporters which makes our auction a very fun, memorable event each year. Please consider donating or attending our auction,” said Sprecher.

Rocksolid Community Teen Center offers a safe place after school for students in grades 5-12 from the Battle Ground and Hockinson School Districts. The teen center provides caring mentors which help with homework, play games, make crafts, teach life skills, offer free healthy snacks, contribute to community service projects and much more for only $20 a year per student.

Rocksolid is located in the lower level of Bethel Lutheran Church, where they have graciously donated the space. The center’s mission is “To provide a safe place for youth of our community and to foster relationships with one another and caring adults for the purpose of encouraging them to become Rocksolid persons.”
