Tawny Malone joins Ridgefield Public Schools after working as an educator for Evergreen Public Schools since 2004

The Ridgefield School District recently announced the hiring of Tawny Malone as the new assistant principal at South Ridge Elementary School. Malone is currently the K-12 Mathematics Curriculum and Instruction Specialist for Evergreen Public Schools and will officially start at South Ridge effective July 1.
Malone, who is a Ridgefield resident, has been with Evergreen Public Schools since 2004, serving as a teacher, a math and instructional coach, a teacher on special assignment (TOSA), and as a curriculum and instruction specialist.
“I am thrilled to be a part of the team at South Ridge Elementary and the Ridgefield School District,” Malone said. “There are many things I look forward to working on, but I am especially excited to assist in continuous improvement efforts and nourishing a culture of learning–both at the school and in the community.”
Malone graduated Magna Cum Laude from Eastern New Mexico University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She earned her Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Seattle Pacific University, holds a Washington State Professional Teaching Certificate, and earned her administrative credentials in educational leadership from Washington State University.
