The proposed series of projects aim to improve the local transportation system
VANCOUVER — Members of the public are invited to come learn about a series of proposed improvement projects on the Northeast 179th Street corridor during an open house next week.
Clark County Public Works, along with project partners at the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) will host an open house from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Alki Middle School, 1800 NW Bliss Road, Vancouver. Those interested in attending can stop by anytime during the event to discuss the project, ask questions of county and WSDOT staff, and offer comments and suggestions.
The proposed series of projects aim to improve the local transportation system to support the Clark County Comprehensive Growth Management Plan along the Northeast 179th Street corridor. When complete, these projects will improve travel times, encourage economic development, optimize intersection locations, upgrade stormwater management and bring the corridor up to current road standards.
