BATTLE GROUND — Battle Ground City Manager Erin Erdman has promoted Meagan Lowery to the position of Finance & Information Services director. Lowery has served in the role since July 1 following the retirement of former director Maggie Smith.
Lowery has over 14 years experience in governmental accounting and auditing. She began her career with the Washington State Auditor’s Office, worked in the Finance Department for the city of Washougal, and in 2017 was hired by the city of Battle Ground as accounting supervisor. Lowery earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management with a minor in Accounting from Washington State University and is a Certified Government Auditing Professional.
“Meagan brings exceptional experience and knowledge to the position,” said Erdman, “She is an innovative leader who is deeply committed to serving the citizens of Battle Ground.”
Battle Ground’s Finance & Information Services Department accounts for and protects city assets; is responsible for the city’s central accounting; budget and financial planning; treasury; debt management; utility billing and information technology services.
