Clark County Sheriff’s Office released information that transient couple was attacked by three suspects
VANCOUVER — Three unknown suspects attacked a husband and wife transient couple in the early morning hours Wednesday in Hazel Dell.
Deputies with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a stabbing at the 10200 block of Highway 99 just after 4 a.m. Wednesday. Three unknown suspects (possibly 2 males and 1 female) attacked a husband and wife transient couple in the woods on the east side of Highway 99. The camp is located in a small forested area to the northwest of this intersection.
The male suffered a non-life threatening stab wound to the upper back. There was very little description for the suspects who are allegedly transient as well. The motive for the attack is believed to be retaliation over a theft accusation.
The suspects are unidentified at this time and were not located. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deputy DuWayne Layton at duwayne.layton@clark.wa.gov.
