Blom will be replaced on the board by fellow Clark County Councilor Temple Lentz
During Tuesday’s 18-minute C-TRAN Board of Directors meeting Tuesday, only one major item of business was discussed and approved, a $2.7-million IT upgrade.
During board member comments, Clark County Councilor John Blom informed the rest of the board that he was resigning from the C-TRAN Board of Directors immediately. He believed continuity was important and since he would not be on the Board in January, it was in the best interests of C-TRAN for him to step down.
In his bid for reelection to the County Council, Blom did not advance from the August primary election. Candidates Karen Bowerman and Jesse James advanced to the November general election.
Blom indicated the County Council’s current alternate for the board position, Temple Lentz, would fill the position for the balance of the year. He assumed she would then serve in 2021.
Blom also serves as vice chairman of the C-TRAN Board of Directors. He recommended that last year’s Chairman, Adrian Cortes, fill that position for the balance of the year.
Board members thanked Blom for his years of service and wished him well.
