Resource fair will connect seniors with education, volunteer and recreation opportunities; Medicare, Social Security and VA assistance; and more
Event: Jaime Herrera Beutler to host free Senior Resource Fair Date & Time: Tue., April 23 from 2–3:30 p.m. Location: Luepke Center, 1009 E. The Senior Resource Fair is free and open to any resident of Southwest Washington, and will allow seniors and their families to connect with a variety of useful organizations.
Experts and information will be available regarding mature learning and recreational opportunities, starting a business or non-profit, volunteer openings, Social Security and Medicare assistance, the Department of Veterans Affairs and more. An updated list of participating resources will be available soon at jhb.house.gov.
“My goal is to make it easy for seniors in Southwest Washington to connect with the resources that can help them pursue their goals and enrich their lives,” Herrera Beutler said. “As I travel around and talk to people in our region, I regularly learn about services that can help mature residents, whether they are still in the workforce, retired, starting a second career or seeking assistance with their health. I want Southwest Washington residents to be able to thrive throughout their lives.”
