Early bird ticket pricing ends Oct. 9

VANCOUVER — Friends of the Carpenter (FOC), with presenting sponsor Pacific Lifestyle Homes, will host its 16th annual auction on Sat. Oct. 20, 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Warehouse ’23, 100 Columbia St #102, Vancouver.

Tickets purchased before Oct. 10 are $75 per person, $700 table of 10 (tickets increase to $85 per person, $800 table of 10 after Oct. 10). Event tickets are now on sale and can be purchased online at www.friendsofthecarpenter.org or at the FOC office, 1600 W. 20th Street, Vancouver.

“With less than a month before the event, our staff and board members are excited to finalize the activities for our annual auction and dinner,” said Tom Iberle, executive director. “In addition to our live auction, mystery boxes, and fish bowl raffle, we have a fantastic selection of silent auctions with heirloom-caliber wood items, fabric art, baskets, and much more.”

The live auction will feature 12 items, including: a Custom Garden Project by Craig Cluff, in which the winning bidder can choose from one of three projects: a grape arbor, a pergola with bench, or a double-planter box with trellis; a Maple Burl Table with Ebony legs, hand-made by Wade Boyd; and a 3-hour cruise on the Willamette River for up to 6 people in a 23-foot speed boat, with beautiful views from the St. John’s Bridge to the Falls in Oregon City.

The event will also feature Mystery Boxes, with new handmade wood-crafted items, for $30 each.  There will also be a Fishbowl Raffle, with four exciting prizes, including five tickets to Disneyland; raffle tickets are $10 each or 3/$25.

All funds raised by the event support FOC’s mission, including programs at the Friendship Center where people of all circumstances are empowered to live life with dignity, hope and love.

Sponsorship opportunities are available at various levels, from Platinum Level Friend at $5,000 to Bronze Level at $500. Contact Christine Bilic, Administrative & Development Manager, at (360) 750-4752 or christine@friendsofthecarpenter.org.

Friends of the Carpenter was incorporated in Vancouver, in Oct. 1998 and began as a vision of a practical outreach of simple welcome and personal interaction between volunteers from the church and people living in poverty. Since the beginning, regular contact has been made with the homeless and poor persons of our community through woodworking events scheduled throughout the community and which, today, are held at FOC’s Friendship Center. The mission: Friends of the Carpenter is a nonprofit, faith-based day facility that provides safety, structure and purpose for vulnerable members of our community.
