Beginning Thursday, WSDOT contractor will begin the work to reconfigure the pavement markings on the highway for improved operations on Northeast 3rd Avenue
CAMAS — Drivers who use State Route 500 through Camas should prepare for roadway changes as construction to improve the highway continues.
Beginning Thu., Aug. 2, the Washington State Department of Transportation’s contractor, Granite Construction, in partnership with the city of Camas, will begin the work to reconfigure the pavement markings on the highway for improved operations on Northeast 3rd Avenue, between approximately Northeast Garfield Street and Northeast Dallas Street.

- Thu., Aug. 2 to Fri., Aug. 3: Travelers on both directions of SR 500 between Lake Road and Northeast 3rd Avenue will be flagged intermittently through a single lane, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily
- Mon., Aug. 6 to Fri., Aug. 10: Travelers on both directions of SR 500 between Lake Road and Northeast 3rd Avenue will be flagged intermittently through a single lane, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily
- Mon., Aug. 13 to Fri., Aug. 17: Travelers on both directions of SR 500 between Lake Road and Northeast 3rd Avenue will be flagged intermittently through a single lane with a pilot car, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily
During the lane closures, contractor crews will continue pavement and sidewalk improvement work.
