Miller has been a resident of Woodland for last nine years
WOODLAND — The Woodland Chamber of Commerce Board announced that the Woodland Chamber and Visitors Center (WCVC) has a new executive director, Denise Miller.
Miller started with the WCVC in December, bringing her expertise in event planning, management along with an exciting and fresh vision for the future. Miller and her husband have been Woodland residents for nine years. Last year they added a daughter to their family. They enjoy spending time on the Lewis River kayaking and fishing as well as going camping with their family. WCVC officials say Miller is thrilled to have the opportunity to assist the businesses in the Woodland network and grow as well as drive more commerce to the businesses through tourism.
Woodland Chamber President and Woodland City Council Member Janice Graham remarked that “2020 is going to be a year of growth and change and we, at the Chamber, are introducing our new executive director to bring new ideas, businesses and partnerships to the Chamber. We are looking forward to Denise’s goals of improving our Visitor’s Center, increasing tourists to our area and up river.”
Graham said an open house is scheduled Thu., Feb. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. to introduce Miller and the 2020 Chamber Board members to the business community, adding “We want the business community to come out, whether you are a member or a prospective member and find out what our goals and projects are for this year.”
