Several uneven concrete panels on the trail must be removed and replaced during this work, which will require temporary closures. A detour through the grass adjacent to the paved trail will be available during the closures. Work should be complete by the end of January, weather permitting.

Roots and other debris will also be removed from under the panels and a root barrier will be installed to limit future damage to the trail.

Visitors to the Columbia River Renaissance Trail should use caution around construction equipment and follow all posted detour and safety instructions when traveling through the impacted areas.

Questions about the trail maintenance project can be directed to Vancouver Parks and Recreation Park Developer Jeremy Kanooth at jeremy.kanooth@cityofvancouver.us or (360) 487-8320.
