Online Open House

During this month’s public input period, residents will be asked to review and provide feedback on six route options involving sections of Columbia Street, Daniels Street, Franklin Street and Washington Street on the west side of the city. Participants will learn about the benefits, tradeoffs and impacts of each route, including the potential removal of on-street parking.
The purpose of the Westside Bike Mobility Project is to develop a safe network of north-south bike routes west of Interstate 5 and east of Fruit Valley Road that connects the west side neighborhoods between the Burnt Bridge Creek Trail and the downtown waterfront, with at least one route appropriate for all ages and abilities.
In addition to safer bike routes, the Westside Bike Mobility Project could also include improvements such as new crosswalks, traffic calming devices, spot sidewalk improvements, upgraded ADA ramps, enhanced lighting and new street trees.
