Cascade Park Community Library is getting a ‘refresh’

The library will be closed from Mon., Jan. 27 through Mon., Feb. 17 for painting, new carpet, and some other minor upgrades

VANCOUVER – After 10 years of serving East Vancouver’s growing community, it’s time for Cascade Park Community to get a light “refresh” beginning at the end of the month. The library will be closed from Mon., Jan. 27 through Mon., Feb. 17 for painting, new carpet, and some other minor upgrades, while still allowing patrons to return materials and pick up holds on a modified schedule. The library will also offer a selection of off-site storytimes in the community.

Another busy year at Cascade Park Community Library

The library’s “refresh” comes just over 10 years after the library opened in its current location in December of 2009, providing the community with numerous materials, resources, and programs. In 2019, the branch offered over 1,000 programs, had more than 425,000 visitors, answered over 75,000 patron questions, and circulated almost a million items (checkouts and renewals).
