Fraser has served the community of Battle Ground since 2006
BATTLE GROUND — Each year, Battle Ground Police Department employees select an officer to recognize for his or her exemplary performance. The Officer of the Year award for 2018 was presented to Officer Clint Fraser at the June 3 Battle Ground City Council meeting. He was surrounded by family, friends and fellow law enforcement officers as he received the award.
Officer Fraser has served the community of Battle Ground since 2006. He was initially hired as a code enforcement officer, serving eight months in that position before taking the oath of police officer in May of 2007.
His work with the Battle Ground Police Department includes specialty assignments such as a firearms instructor, motorcycle officer, field training officer, taser instructor, and most recently as EVOC (Emergency Vehicle Operations Course) instructor. During his tenure, he received the department’s Commendation and Life Saving Medals.
His colleagues at the Battle Ground Police Department characterize Officer Fraser as passionate for public service, an innovator, always eager to learn and to share his skills and knowledge with peers.
Police Chief Bob Richardson presented the award.
“It is my honor to name Officer Clint Fraser 2018 Officer of the Year; his outstanding service to the community reflects the values and mission of the Battle Ground Police Department,” Richardson said.
