Assault occurred Aug. 12 in Ridgefield
RIDGEFIELD — Three suspects have been apprehended in connection to an investigation of an assault that occurred in Ridgefield earlier this month.
On Aug. 12, the Ridgefield Police Department responded to a suspicious circumstance call near the Ridgefield Fire Station. Police officers contacted a male covered in blood. A further investigation revealed the male was assaulted by three males while inside a vehicle.
The victim sustained serious bodily injuries from repeated attacks with a knife and baton type objects. The victim was also strangled with a rope. The victim managed to escape from the vehicle and run to the nearby fire station.
The Ridgefield Police Department solicited the help of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Detective’s Unit (TDU) to assist with the investigation. On Aug. 17, TDU detectives along with the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, and a Ridgefield Police officer, served a series of search warrants at 9104 NE 72nd Street in Vancouver. Detectives apprehended one of the suspects identified as 29-year-old Jerrel Revette. Also recovered from the residence was the vehicle used in the incident and property belonging to the victim.
On Thursday, TDU detectives along with U.S. Marshal’s Task Force members from the Portland and Vancouver offices, apprehended the remaining two suspects, identified as 27-year-old Eron M. Mendoza and 32-year-old Evan D. Ebeo in a residence in Portland.
All three suspects have been charged with Murder (attempt) in the First Degree, Robbery in the first degree and Unlawful Imprisonment. This incident remains an active investigation.
