VANCOUVER – The county manager is seeking applicants to fill three pending vacancies on the Clark County Development and Engineering Advisory Board (DEAB). The positions are open to professionals associated with land development, private-sector development engineering, and construction contracting.
The terms for all three positions are three years beginning Jan. 1, 2022 and ending Dec. 31, 2024.
The advisory board reviews policy and county code changes and works on process improvements and fees with the county’s Community Development, Community Planning and Public Works departments.
DEAB consists of eleven members: three private-sector planners or engineers; one construction contractor; one public-sector planner or engineer; one land developer; one Building Industry Association representative; one Southwest Washington Contractors’ Association representative; one professional associated with commercial or industrial development; and two other professionals associated with development.
DEAB typically meets 2:30-4:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. Virtual meetings are being held so long as COVID-19 requirements are in place.
