In addition to this new role, Doriot also serves as a director for the Building Industry Association of Clark County, the National Association of Home Builders, and the Parks Foundation of Clark County. He is also the 2019-2020 Chair of the Cascadia Construction Technology Advisory Board with service dating back to 1996 for the Cascadia Technical Academy.

Doriot has worked to set Doriot Construction apart by being one of few builders in Clark County to earn the BIAW’s Certified Builder designation/seal. This process exceeds the Washington State standards for becoming a contractor and involves a more stringent set of BIAW standards which include additional vetting and higher levels of education. In 2019, the Doriot Construction team earned the BIA’s Building Excellence Award for Best Custom Home over $1,000,000 for the Timberline build. The Timberline is also a five-time award recipient at the 2018 Parade of Homes event earning Best in Show, Best Architecture, Best Master Suite, Best Kitchen and Peoples Choice. Doriot prides himself on living up to the #DoriotDifference, which is his team’s total commitment to quality.

“As a long-time, credible, custom home builder and past president of the BIA of Clark County, Tracy Doriot is a deserved leader of our state association, BIAW. His longevity in the industry and involvement in local and state association leadership roles ensures a deep knowledge and understanding of the issues our members face across the state,” said Avaly Scarpelli, executive director of the BIA of Clark County.

Doriot Construction was established in 1978 by Tracy Doriot after getting his start with a Longview home builder. He had the dream to create his own business that specializes in custom home builds and remodeling projects. Doriot has been involved at every phase of the home building process from planning to completion and brings his four decades of experience with him to each new project.

Doriot has been an advocate and spokesman for Clark County’s workforce needs in the labor and trades sector via his service as a member of the Construction Technology Advisory Board for Cascadia Technical Academy. He’s been part of the public-face of this workforce crisis, noting that student interest is increasing to better serve the rise in need for skilled workers in the building industry. Doriot is ready to serve the State’s BIA organization in this important role to move the building industry forward to better align with the needs of today’s homeowners and the environment.
