Grand opening scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m.
Area residents who enjoy bowling, billiards and arcade games will have plenty of activities to choose from in the new 43,000-square-foot Round1 bowling and amusement center at the Vancouver Mall.
Although doors have been open to guests since April 3, Round1 will have its official grand opening at 10 a.m. Saturday. Prices are $5 for bowling and $6 for billiards. Food and drinks are also sold. Guests must wear masks inside the facility and follow social distancing protocols.
Round1 opened its first center in Japan in 1993 and expanded to the US in 2010. There are currently 105 bowling and amusement centers in Japan and more than 40 facilities in the US.
“While we are actively and aggressively expanding our national footprint, we are also carefully and methodically selecting locations that are both heavily trafficked and provide easy access for our visitors, and Vancouver Mall hits the mark on both points,” Shane Kaji, COO of Round1 bowling and amusement stated in a press release. “We are excited to open our doors at Vancouver Mall, and look forward to seeing all our new guests enjoying themselves in our brand new facility.”

The Vancouver Mall has been in a remodelling phase since 2020. Round1 and Hobby Lobby fill the upper and lower sections of the mall that used to be occupied by Sears. There are also new Five Guys and Chick-fil-A restaurants by the Parkway Drive entrance to the mall.
