The foundation has been set for at least one of the homes, while preparations are in progress for the other lots.
Today, construction crews.
In September, brand new homes … for all to see.
The GRO Parade of Homes is returning to Camas, with six luxury homes to be open for the event come September.
On Thursday, builders, city officials, and organizers of the parade gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony just beside Camas Meadows Golf Course. The parade is hosted by the Building Industry Association of Clark County.
Four builders will be creating the six homes. Three of the builders are new to the Parade and one is returning for the first time in more than a decade.
“Construction is the lifeline and the fuel that keeps us all working,” said Garret Hergert, owner of GRO Outdoor Living. “So give yourself a hand for being in the construction industry.”
Camas Mayor Steve Hogan thanked the builders and the BIA for bringing back the parade to Camas for the first time since 2019.
Greg McGreevey, VP of Development for Romano Capital, thanked the city of Camas for capturing the vision of the site.
“These projects are a labor of love,” McGreevey said, noting that this particular site is four years in the making. “We really appreciate the partnership (with the city) and ability to work with them to make this come alive.”
Kevin Wann, founder of Pacific Lifestyle Homes, said he grew up within two miles of this year’s Parade site, back when the area was rural.
“I know change and growth is not easy … but I’m incredibly proud to have played a role in the growth of this area,” Wann said. “At Pacific Lifestyle homes, we don’t just build houses, we build communities. Our vision is to build better lives for people.”
He appreciates being back in Camas, too.
“I know Camas believes in job growth, excellent schools, vibrant neighborhoods. That’s a lot of who we are,” he said.
Pacific Lifestyle Homes, NR Construction Concepts, Urban NW Homes, LLC, and NW Fortune Development are creating the six homes for the parade.
Alexa Lee said to save the dates on the calendar. The Gro Parade of Homes is set to open Sept. 5 for the public.
