Famous animated film comes to the stage as Finding Nemo Jr., to be performed at Manor Evangelical Church in Battle Ground

One of the most famous films created by Pixar Animation Studios has been turned into a stage production, and Journey Theater is proud to present Finding Nemo Jr., with seven performances scheduled in Battle Ground in November.

Journey will present the story of Marlin, an anxious and overprotective clownfish who lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his child Nemo. When Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean to find his child.

The play also features loveable characters such as Dory, sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang. Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves.

Katie McKenzie is set to play Marlin, with Isaac Wood as Nemo. Aislyn Volk will play Dory.

The production will be held at Manor Evangelical Church, 17913 NE 72nd Ave., in Battle Ground.

Performances are set for 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, and then 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday Nov. 9. The cast and crew return the next week for a 7 p.m. performance on Friday, Nov. 15, and 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. shows on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Tickets are on sale at journeytheater.org/ or by calling 360-750-8550. Adult tickets are $16. Youth and senior citizens tickets are $13. Tickets for all performances are $2 extra at the door.
